Bouzoukis

The Bouzouki is a long neck instrument popular in Greece that is part of the lute family. It has a distinctive long neck. The steel strings produce a sharp metallic sound similar to a Mandolin but a bit deeper and mellower. The Bousouki is well suited for lively rythms and intricate melodies.

Traditionally, the Bousouki is bowl shaped with a wooden top but it has several variations. Build can be customized in different ways to suit the musician. Customizations range from neck length and number of strings to the depth and height of the bowl.
